Our respite program is designed to provide life-enriching activities and lunch for those who struggle with Alzheimer’s and other causes of memory impairment. Having a safe, comforting, and enjoyable place for their loved one to spend a portion of their day gives caregivers a much-needed break. Our group meets on the first Wednesday of each month, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, and registration is required. The scheduled activities will vary from month to month but will include a combination of social interaction games, creative projects, music, pet visits, dancing, singing, and delicious foods to round out the day. Our volunteer caregivers are trained by the Alzheimer’s Association along with on-going training provided by our Program Director, Tammy Genagon. If you would like more information on our Lunch Club for your loved one, or have a heart to volunteer for this rewarding work, please contact Tammy at tgenagon@gmail.com
